We started the Revving Up Hope campaign to raise money for a cause that helps many families all over this great country of ours. Receiving news that one of your children requires serious medical attention is a nightmare for any family. This type of news is not foreign to the members of the GRIT Racing Division. We have two different families on our team that have had kids admitted to Children's Hospital.
One of our racers was required to undergo brain surgery when he was only 3 months old. Thanks to Children's Hospital, he now races dirt bikes on the weekends with his dad and brother.
Another one of our team members recently had a son that was born with a congenital heart defect. His son required multiple heart surgeries after he was born and still has one more operation scheduled for a few years from now. We have hopes that one day he will join the team too.
Both of these families had phenomenal experiences with the Children's Hospital. Not only does the hospital provide care for their patients that is second to none, they also provide an incredible amount of resources for the families that are doing what it takes to see their kids through this heavy experience. They provide anything from gas cards that help families in need get to their appointments to full fledged mental and financial counseling. They even provide relief for families that can’t afford to pay their bills.
As the region’s only nonprofit pediatric hospital, Children’s Hospital Colorado is fueled by giving. They treat all children, regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
So, by donating to the Children’s Hospital of Colorado you’re not only helping the families that you hear about in stories, you’re helping the people around you that may be going through something like this in the future. Children’s Colorado not only serves the folks of Colorado, they serve people that come from all over the United States. Help us show that the moto community and those around us care and want to make a difference in the lives of the kids and families whose worlds have been rocked by a heartbreaking medical diagnosis.
