Since 2019, the Pediatric Urology team at Children’s Hospital Colorado has created special moments for patients and families to come together outside the hospital walls. Thanks to generous donor support, we've been able to host several meaningful events ranging from magical nights at Denver Zoo Lights to storytelling adventures with Sing Me a Story. These gatherings provide so much more than just a fun evening; they offer connection, support, and a reminder that no one is alone on this journey.
Our events bring together patients with rare or complex conditions, their siblings, and caregivers in relaxed, joyful settings. While kids connect over shared experiences (and maybe a skating session or two!), parents and guardians also find community through sharing tips, stories, and encouragement. Many families have told us how refreshing it feels to engage in a setting that’s more celebratory than clinical.
We're constantly dreaming up new ways to help families feel supported and seen. Right now, donations can go toward future visits to Zoo Lights, Sing Me a Story, or Skate City, but your gift isn’t limited to those. If you have an idea or want to support a specific experience, we’d love to make it happen. Every contribution, big or small, helps us build a space where patients and families feel connected, uplifted, and cared for.
