Sullivan Leuck Miller was born at 12:08 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020 and died peacefully at home in the arms of Mom and Dad (Melissa and Tim Miller) early September 21, 2021.
At birth, Sullivan was diagnosed with a rare vascular malformation, called the Vein of Galen malformation, and continually fought through its effects and other related complications. As Sullivan, Melissa and Tim endured months of unknowns, they always graciously shared their journey and generously supported other networks, organizations and support systems that helped them while they were navigating this unfamiliar and scary world of caring for a medically complex child.
Melissa and Tim are so grateful Sullivan had the opportunity to attend KidStreet, where he received therapy, engagement and interaction from the amazing staff and nurses all while learning, growing and socializing with other kids. In order for KidStreet to continue providing this amazing care and incredible learning environment, Melissa and Tim have become champions in fundraising to gifts to KidStreet in Sullivan's honor.
Children's Colorado's KidStreet is uniquely designed to provide daily rehabilitation services for infants and children with complex medical needs. KidStreet is a multidisciplinary early intervention program designed to maximize the health and development of children who are dependent on medical technology by promoting independence and fostering peer interactions.
The entire Miller Family is overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and care they have received from their medical team, amazing nurses, and friends and family. They are so thankful for the large, loving community that has supported them during this most difficult journey.
