Paul Gerald Moe, MD died of natural causes on August 16, 2024. He was born on February 19,1931 in Granite Falls, Minnesota to Melvin and Bessie Moe. Paul was one of five siblings that he cherished. He was also a devoted husband and father, marrying the love of his life, Barbara, in 1959. He had a nearly 5 decades long career as a pediatric neurologist, helping children and families. Dr. Moe earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Neurology and fellowship in Child Neurology with the University of Minnesota program and his residency in Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital/Ohio State University Program, where he was named Chief Resident. Paul then spent two years in Iran with the Peace Corps before coming to Children’s Hospital Colorado.
During his tenure with the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Dr. Moe pursued advanced scientific interests which he generously shared with physicians in training. He was loved by co-workers and the resident doctors he guided.
Dr. Moe is preceded in death by his wife Barbara (October 10, 1937 - March 31, 2021) and is survived by his seven children and seven grandchildren.
