MY STORY
My name is Lillian, I am 11 years old. Giving back to this hospital means so much to me because they saved my life. When I was 4 years old I lived in Kansas and I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Even though I was following a gluten free diet I was still getting sick everyday. That is when I was sent to CHCO. My doctor, Dr. Hoffenberg, was so nice and friendly. He helped us find out why I was still getting sick. It was because of the wheat dust in the air in Kansas. We moved to Colorado and my care team at children's hospital helped me learn how to stay "Celiac Safe". Everything that they taught me was amazing and my doctor has helped empower me to stand up for myself. He also inspired me to write a children's book about my journey to help other kids with Celiac. I just got it published and I am donating all of the proceeds to the Celiac Center! I can't wait for there to be more Celiac Superheroes just like me. At the beginning of the year I set a goal to raise $5,000. Even though I have met my goal I want to keep raising money because Children's Hospital is so amazing and I want to keep doing more to make a difference .So I am increasing my goal to $6,000. Please help me by donating today!
Sincerely,
Lillian
