Arc Thrift Brainiacs
We’re excited to kick off the 2025 Courage Classic on July 19-20 and would love for you to join us! The Arc Thrift Brainiacs are a passionate team of University of Colorado students, faculty, staff, and friends, riding in support of The Children’s Hospital Colorado and its Neuroscience Institute.
This year, we’re riding to raise essential funds for groundbreaking research into neurological disorders that affect children. Your donations will directly support advancements in care for conditions such as developmental disabilities, epilepsy, strokes, and other challenges of the nervous system.
Every contribution makes a significant difference. For example, your support helps fund:
- Participation in the Pediatric Epilepsy Research Consortium (PERC), a vital program that drives collaborative research and provides critical insights into new treatments for children with epilepsy.
- The Neuroscience Institute (NSI) internship program, which helps foster early-stage research, offers hands-on experience to young aspiring doctors and researchers, and enables junior faculty to advance their careers by developing innovative projects focused on pediatric neurological disorders.
As we celebrate our 15th year, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to our previous team captains, John Sladek and his wife, Celia, for their leadership and unwavering dedication over the years. John and Celia have been integral in shaping the spirit of the Arc Thrift Brainiacs, and we are incredibly grateful for their contributions. We’re proud to carry their legacy forward as we continue to lead the team in their spirit, united by our shared mission of advancing research and care for children with neurological disorders.
