Special Forces

More than twenty years ago, Children’s Hospital Colorado embarked on a journey to provide a medical home & primary care clinic capable of managing the health of children with complex medical needs – the Special Care Clinic.  In 2017, we launched a Courage Classic team to represent these amazing kids and each year, we proudly ride as Special Forces in their honor.

Ari was born with multiple congenital anomalies, including a severe musculoskeletal disorder called arthrogryposis  At the young age of 3, she's getting ready to undergo her 8th surgery.   Her daily schedule includes preschool, therapies, tube feeds, and a whole lot of fun, spinning in circles in her light-up wheelchair!  Today, Ari has a chance at a future.  She is happy and is thriving, thanks in many ways to the amazing care of her team at Children's Hospital Colorado.

This summer, as our team rides down quiet country roads and over challenging ascents in the breathtaking Rocky Mountains, we remember our children with special needs, like Ari, and the families that so diligently care for them.

But they need your help.  Your gift of any amount to support our team will directly benefit Children's Hospital Colorado and continue to allow us to provide amazing care to these children, who depend on our clinic and on Children's Hospital.

Can you make a difference for kids?  Of course you can!  It all starts here.
