NICU Spinning Spokes for the Littlest Folks
Spinning Spokes for the Littlest Folks is a cycling team made up of families, friends and healthcare providers who ride to raise money for the Children's Hospital Colorado Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The NICU, located on the Anschutz Medical Campus, is an 82-bed level 4 unit, caring for an average of 72 patients and seeing roughly 1300 admissions a year. The NICU is comprised of a collaborative team who strives to provide a safe and healing environment and make big impacts for our littlest patients through clinical expertise, innovation, and equitable care. Patients that we serve include premature infants, infants with heart issues, infants who require surgery, and those who need extra breathing support.
Supporting the NICU through your donations provides the following:
Support for family events and memory making:
- Personalized keepsakes for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Easter, Halloween, and Winter Holiday’s
- Crafts to celebrate patient milestones such as growth, birthdays, and graduation to home.
- Events in the unit for families to connect and support one another through their journey in the NICU.
The Courage Classic is an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for even the smallest patients.
Our team intends to fundraise a total of $50,000+ and designate to Children’s Colorado’s NICU. If we do not reach that $50,000 threshold, our fundraising will support unrestricted funding for Children's Hospital Colorado's greatest needs.
