My name is Melissa Devolve, and I am the captain of team "Courage From The Springs."  Children's Hospital Colorado is ranked nationally as one of the top 10 pediatric hospitals in the country.  In 2019 a free-standing Children's Hospital Colorado opened near Memorial North, bringing care to Southern Colorado's children!  This team's focus is to raise money to support this local hospital.

The Courage Classic was started 33 years ago as a primary fundraiser for the hospital. During the pandemic the tour had to be modified, but the two-day tour is BACK!!!

About my family...we are passionate supporters of Children's Hospital Colorado.  Our oldest son, Noah, was born with a congenital heart defect and had open-heart surgery at Children's when he was 18 days old.  As a young teen, he had to have four orthopedic surgeries (at Children's, of course!) to correct misalignment of his knees and ankles, and when he was 15 years old he suffered a head and neck injury and was airlifted to Children's from Colorado Springs for treatment.  Noah is now 21 years old, and has grown into an amazing young man.  He is in his senior year studying chemistry at Rollins College in Florida. This summer he will be working in a research lab and applying to med schools. 

We have experienced many departments at CHC, and the care and treatment we have received at every step, from front desk check-in to the consultations with the surgeons, has been unparalleled.  We have driven more miles than we care to count going back and forth to Aurora and Highlands Ranch for Noah's treatments, but it is so worth it, knowing our child is getting the best, most phenomenal care available anywhere.

And since 2019 it's been available in COLORADO SPRINGS!!!!!!!
