I've joined the annual Courage Classic bike ride to give hope to Children’s Hospital Colorado patients.
Anyone who knows me knows that I don't need the encouragement of a fundraiser like the Courage Classic to hop on my bike and hit the road. But when I can merge my love of bicycling with a great cause like this...all the better! I've set a personal goal to raise at least $2500 for this great cause - The Colorado Children's Hospital Foundation.
Another thing you may or may not know about me - I hate raising money - even for a great cause like this. So, any time I've faced the daunting task (for me) of fundraising, I try to give some additional value to my donors. For example, in 2019 I asked my band mates to join me for a fundraising concert while raising funds for a medical mission to Haiti.
So...here are some added incentives to making a contribution on my behalf for this event:
1. Any donation of $25 or more is automatically entered in a raffle for a 3-day weekend in our vacation cabin in Alma Colorado. $25 increments above that earn additional raffle tickets.
2. Fundraising party at my home in Denver on Friday July 5, 5 pm to 8 pm. Featuring musical performances with me and friends, the drawing for Alma Cabin raffle winner, and an photo auction of (see below). If you're in Denver and would like to attend, please DM me.
3. Photo Auction - some of my favorite photos, size 14 x 11 on canvas prints. Starting bid $100. All proceeds go to Children's Colorado Foundation. These will be on display online soon and at the Fundraising Party.
