I am riding the 2023 Courage Classic to give back to the amazing people at Children's Hospital Colorado especially the CCBD, Oncology, and PiCU departments.
My oldest daughter was extremely sick in November of 2019. She spent 23days in the PiCU, 16 days on VA and VV ECMO, 21days on a ventilator. Early on in Alex's extended PICU admission she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Upon discharge from the PICU on Thanksgiving Day she was transferred to the CCBD And Oncology Depts where she continued her recovery and went through chemotherapy. Alex was discharged on Dec 8th of that year. Through everything Alex and my family the Drs, Nurses and staff at Children's Hospital Colorado werr fantastic. From explaining and answering my questions during rounds which I never missed during her hospitalization, to being supportive, caring, thoughtful, and by Alex's Recovery and Treatment amazed by how far she has come since then. I was always in awe of the people who work at Children's, the tragedy and triumph, the professionaliam, how they carried themselves everyday. All the money raised goes directly to Children's Hospital Colorado so please find it in your heart to help some amazing people continue to do amazing things at Children's Hospital Colorado.
