I ride for kids like my sister, Alex. This will be my second year riding in the Courage Classic!
My sister was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in 2019. I missed my sister when she was in the hospital for over a month. I wanted her to come home so badly. I talked to a my parents in the hospital about how sick she was. I also talked to a Child Life specialist, Andrea, about her diagnosis. She showed me pictures of the machines that were helping keep her alive. I was able to ask questions and I got to take home a packet on leukemia to show my friends at school. I learned a lot from her and she made me feel a lot less scared.
I am riding with the "Wheels of Justice" team. The money we raise will benefit the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. This is where my sister was treated. The staff there are so amazing!
In two years I have raised
$2,533.98!!!
I really want to reach $5,000 total this year!!
The ride is challenging, but when I rode, I kept thinking about how hard my sister fought cancer and how hard I could fight to get up the mountain.
I want to help raise money so Children's Hospital can keep helping kids like my sister, Alex!
