I ride to give hope to Children’s Hospital Colorado patients like Elijah.

Elijah was diagnosed at 34 weeks gestational age with Hydrops Fetalis, a rare condition that leads to extra fluid in both mom and baby. Elijah was born at UCHealth Anshutz on August 10th, and transferred to Children's Hospital Colorado 18 hours later to be placed on ECMO, effectively a heart and lung bypass machine. Elijah fought hard for three additional days, getting to meet all his aunts/uncles/grandparents before passing away early in the morning on August 14th, 2022.

The care that both Elijah and our family received from the gracious staff/doctors/nurses at Children's Hospital Colorado was second to none, and that is why we are riding to support their efforts. While Elijah unfortunately could not be saved, we know he would love donations in his name to help the wonderful people at Children's Hospital save other babies just like him.
