I ride for all Children’s Hospital Colorado patients including my son, Hawkin.
Hawkin was born with an undiagnosed condition called transposition of the great arteries (TGA). This was a shock to everyone involved, especially our family. He was airlifted to Children's Hospital and within hours was stabilized. We spent a month in the hospital with him before we could bring him home. The staff was amazing! They were caring and professional at the same time, which is what we needed. While there, we met families undergoing similar experiences, and some much more terrifying than ours. We think of them often. For those going through the emotional roller coaster now, just know you're getting the best care possible!
Please help me in our cause to support the Children's Hospital and more specifically the Cardiac Team.
The Courage Classic is an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for kids like Hawkin.
