I ride to give hope to Children's Hospital Colorado patients like Calista
Calista was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome on March 24th, 2018. Her first surgery was the toughest, she had a really hard time recovering. She was in the hospital for two months. She was a fighter through the process. All the nurses said they knew her cry. Calista was discharged the day her oldest brother graduated from high school. She has had all three of her surgeries needed for her condition with the last one being in Sept 2021. She did great and we were home within a week. She has two older sisters and one older brother. They love her so much and spoil her rotten.
She is such a character! Everyone who meets her says she just has this light around her. She is so smart, sassy, feisty. She just started Tball and dance class. She loves to perform in front of people dancing and singing. She says she is going to be a firefighter when she grows up. She has given her family so much joy and and they are so incredibly blessed with how well she is doing.
The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children.
