I have worked for Children's Hospital Colorado, for 16 years, and have always entertained the idea of riding The Courage Classic. This year, I finally responded to the call in my heart to ride. I have committed to ride 120 miles in 2 days, to an elevation of 11,353 ft, and I couldn't be more excited for this challenge! I am endeavoring this ride to support the patients, families and staff, who get up every day and pedal hard. They don't always have people cheering for them along their route, or a celebration at the finish of the day, and sometimes, there isn't even a win. Their examples of love, endurance, focus and patience, touch and inspire me in immeasureable ways.
I am also, in a very special way, riding for Children's Hospital Colorado's first medical therapy dog, Ralph "MD". He has dedicated his life gracing patients, families and staff, with his caring and joy. His pioneering work continues to create miracles, and touch hearts.
This is the least I can do, to honor their ride.
