For a decade, I've been involved in Children's Hospital Colorado Burn Camps programs, working with young people who have suffered from a burn injury at some point during their childhood. This year, despite my inexperience with using a road bike, I've decided to ride 80 miles this July, up and over Vail Pass to raise money for the CHCO Burn Camps program. I ride so that kids who have suffered from a burn injury have the opportunity to come to camp, meet other kids with whom they can share their stories, and heal together.
