2023 is my third year riding in the Courage Classic, for Wheels of Justice and in support of the Children’s Hospital Colorado CCBD team.

My dad, Dr. Bob, is the Director of the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) Wellness Program. Until this year, my connection with CCBD ended there. But this spring, I had the chance to join CCBD's Colorado Rockies spring training trip.

The trip is an incredible opportunity for patients to meet Rockies players and watch Rockies baseball. But it's also an opportunity for patients to be kids outside of the hospital. The spirit, camaraderie and joy shared by all on the trip blew me away (and, as we learned together at the hotel's golf course, recent amputees can stripe drives down the fairway, too).

I have never been more excited to support CCBD. In the past two years, I have raised $2745. My goal is to continue this momentum, raising $1255 this year and breaking the $4000 threshold overall.
