I ride to give hope to Children's Hospital Colorado patients like Chase.
Chase was born 2 months early in full cardiac arrest and spent nearly 3 months in the Children’s Hospital Colorado NICU.
Chase asked his mom, Laura, if he could ride with her in the Courage Classic Bicycle Tour. Given his medical challenges, this was no small feat, but Chase was determined to learn to ride a bike. After a lot of hard work (and falls), Chase rode with Laura's Durango Derailers Team of family and friends across the Courage Classic finish line -- a true testament to his courage and strength against all odds.
Chase will not be the last child to face a life-threatening illness, and his family will not be the last to navigate a frightening diagnosis.
The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children.
