Nelson, Carter, and I are excited to participate in this year's Courage Classic Bicycle Ride to support our boys, Jeremiah and Luke, and in appreciation of the incredible work that is being done at Children's Hospital Colorado and the Anna and John Sie Center for Down Syndrome.
As many of you are aware, Jeremiah and Luke both happen to have Down syndrome, and our family has been the recipients of the remarkable love and support from the teams at these communities for several years now.
Luke's journey started on October 23rd, 2022 when he was born extremely premature at 25 weeks and diagnosed with Down syndrome, pulmonary hypertension, chronic respiratory failure, and congenital heart disease. The past year has been a long journey filled with uncertainty and prayer. By the grace of God and the talented team of doctors and nurses at both Presbyterian St. Luke's and Children's Hospital Colorado, we were fortunate to bring Luke home after spending 219 days in the NICU. His brothers, Carter (6), Jeremiah (4), and sister Vivienne (2), are over the moon excited to have him home.
This year's cycling journey takes place July 15-16, 2023 at Copper Mountain. We would be honored if you would consider joining our team to ride on Saturday, July 15th as we ride from Copper to Vail and back to Copper, or helping us reach our combined goal of $5,000 by making a donation to our fundraising page.
Thank you for your support!
