This summer I will be participating in my second Courage Classic bike ride. Riding in this event allows me time to reflect on my own journey while I ascend Vail Pass, but it also allows both myself and fellow riders with the opportunity to fundraise for families who are in need of life-saving medical intervention. This event is near and dear to me for numerous reasons. Children’s Hospital Colorado is my second home and is the place that gave me a second chance at life. I met some of the most amazing people there and am blessed to have them as part of my family. This ride will be in honor of all of the kiddos who have fought and lost their battles as well as for those who are still currently fighting cancer. I have lost some incredible people to cancer and will dedicate this ride to them. Izzy, Michael, Will, Tay, Jason and Uncle John are the reason why I chose to ride this year and will do this in their honor. Children’s Hospital Colorado is a world renowned hospital which is developing cutting edge technology and treatments to help end childhood cancer once and for all. If you are able to contribute in anyway it would mean the world to me as well as the thousands of families whose children are diagnosed with cancer ever year. I can’t thank you all enough for you generosity, your love, and your support throughout my journey. I love you all more than you’ll ever know and am so blessed to have you all in my life. May God bless you and your families today, and always!
