Hello friends and family, Tthank you, for reading and considering a donation for team Climb for Coop. You will be making a meaningful difference on an under-researched, poorly treatable, devastating form of childhood brain cancer that hit close to home. I appreciate your consideration -- every dollar matters.
This is the year that Cooper, who went to Brown Elementary with Sam and Alex and was our neighbor would have graduated high school. Coop was a well known kid in my neighborhood community, the big brother to twins Calvin and Helen, and a talented baseball player...and he was taken out by a kind of brain cancer that needs a lot more research and treatment options. Because right now...it's a death sentence.
Tragically, DIPG brain cancer ended Cooper's life at age 12, only 10 months after being diagnosed. Equally tragic is that treatment hasn't changed since the 1970s...research is desperately needed and that's why we ride! Your donation will go directly toward the research efforts for DIPG at Colorado Children’s hospital, a leader in the field.
This is my 2nd year riding the Courage Classic bike tour to benefit Children's hospital. Hal and I are going to ride the 42 mile Vail pass ride on our tandem bike. As part of team Climb for Coop, we hope to raise $50,000 for brain cancer research. We are motivated to ride hard and do so in Cooper's memory. Please click and consider donating.
Thank you so very much.
