I am planning on riding 50 miles for Children's Hospital Colorado this year. I will be riding with my mother and father, my little brother Micah, and my little sister, Leah.
I ride to give hope to Children's Hospital Colorado patients who need help.
Many people at Children's Hospital Colorado have to stay in the hospital for much of their time, taking away from school, family, and other fun activities. These kids need help and hope during their stay in the hospital over the years. The fundraising money not only goes to their families to help them as they battle through illnesses, but also goes towards research for kids in the future with similar illnesses. Some of these kids face life threatening illnesses, causing more stress, time in the hospital, and these diagnostics can be frightening and painful.
None of these children will be the last child to face a life-threatening illness and their families will not be the last to navigate a frightening diagnosis.
The Courage Classic is not a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children in need, despair, and frightening situations.
