This is my fourth year participating in the Courage Classic Bicycle Tour to benefit Children's Hospital Colorado. I've been lucky to have spent my last 8 years learning and working here at CHCO as part of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases section. I have witnessed the life-changing care that patients receive here and am honored to give back to this incredible organization however I can.
Six years ago, my experience with CHCO became more personal when my daughter, Julia, was diagnosed with a congenital cataract just after she was born. After two surgeries (the first when she was just a month old) and innumerable visits to the ophthalmology clinic, I am beyond thankful for the skilled and compassionate care my daughter has received.
Once we meet our $50k goal as a team, the money our team raises will stay within our Pediatric ID group and help fund research endeavors of our fellows and early-career faculty.
