I am riding the Courage Classic for the fifth time this year for Children's Hospital Colorado. For the first time this year, I'm one of the leaders of our Wheels of Justice Team, which specifically supports our Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. I am lucky to work in an amazing horpital that cares for the sickest children with the most challenging diagnoses in the seven state Rocky Mountain region. As a childhood cancer physician and researcher, I could not be prouder of the work we do to help our patients and, through our research, kids with cancer around the world.
Thank you for visiting my page and considering supporting my ride. Everyone's support really inspired me through the one-day, 80-mile ride through the Copper Triangle last year, including finishing with a climb up Vail Pass, plus the 10-mile family ride with my sons up and down the other side of Vail Pass as a bonus at the end of the day. This year, I'm so excited that we'll be able to have the full two-day, in-person Courage Classic for the first time in three years! On Saturday, it will be a repeat of last year's 80+10-mile rides. Sunday, I'll be riding the 40-mile Lake Dillon/Swan Mountain route with my oldest son Andy, which will be his longest ride ever.
By supporting me, you are helping fund many of the crucial parts of the care we provide our patients, and it's more important than ever this year to help us recover from the effects of the pandemic on hospitals and research funding. I'm very grateful for your support.
