I am riding the Courage Classic in memory of Cooper Deming. Cooper was in Ellen's class and would have just graduated.. but he lost a battle with a brain tumor when he was 12. Cooper was a kid with a smile in his eyes and a gifted athlete. I am riding to remember him. His life, disease and death greatly impacted his classmates and their families. I know that his memory inspires many of them to never give up in their efforts to make this world a better place. We have all been reminded of this with the class of 2022 graduation.
I am riding to do something.. although it does not feel like much given the destruction that cancer causes. I am riding for families who are heartbroken and lost as they face our worst fears every day and fight to survive the horror of childhood cancer. I am riding for the doctors and nurses who are tapped out and still work tirelessly to help kids fight for their lives. I am riding to remember that life is so precious and that I need to do everything I can be healthy, well and happy- riding my bike is one of those things. I am so honored that I can use my bike to try to help more kids win the battle against childhood cancer or other illnesses at Children's Hospital Colorado.
Please do what you can to contribute to my fund raising goal of $500.
Thank you and be well- Betsy Clark
