I am honored to be riding the 2023 Courage Classic in honor of Wyatt. I've known Wyatt since before he was born because his mom is one of my greatest friends! From the time he was given a very guarded prognosis at less than 20 weeks gestation, Wyatt has been showing his family, friends and medical team how tough and resilient he really is! After spending several months at CHCO in the NICU, PICU and pulmonary unit to then going home with a trach and on a ventilator until he was 3 years old, Wyatt continues to amaze us all. He is currently in the 6th grade and loves country music, Disney Land, camping and fishing!
The Courage Classic is both a personal challenge and an opportunity to support positive outcomes for kids and families who rely on Children's Colorado for care. I will be riding my bike over 120 miles in the beautiful Rocky Mountains as a member of the PICU Peloton and would love your support!
Although they are not Children's Hospital patients, this year many of my pedal strokes will be in honor of my cousins Tara and Ann and my uncle Yabo as they too show me how powerful and strong they are through their cancer battles!
