2024 Courage Classic Bicycle Tour: Mr. Todd J. Stockbauer - Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation

This will be my 17th Courage Classic and I am fortunate again to be riding with Psyched to Climb. The Psyched To Climb team rides to raise awareness and critical funds for Colorado youth struggling with mental health. This is definitely close to my heart.

In 2021, a State of Emergency for pediatric mental health was declared by Children's Colorado. Suicide is the leading cause of death for youth ages 10-19. Now 40% of teens in our state struggle with mental health challenges and less than 50% will ever receive ANY form of treatment. We've seen a 64% increase in mental health visits from 2019 to 2021 and 215% increase in suicide plans and attempts in our Emergency Department.

The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children.

However, teams which reach a certain fundraising threshold may designate the gifts they raise to support a specific Children's Hospital Colorado program or service line.
