Why I ride
10 years ago this July, I joined Children’s Hospital Colorado in the finance department. In the time that I have been there, I have been privileged to get a firsthand view of the excellent care that Children’s Colorado gives to its families. That is why I am motivated to ride in the Children's Hospital Courage Classic for my 10th time, specifically on the Psyched to Climb Team. We are doing a 2 day ride through Copper Mtn, Vail, Leadville, Frisco, and surrounding areas covering over 70 miles to raise money and awareness for Children's Hospital.
The state of mental health in our country continues to be a crisis, for youth and adults. The Pysched to Climb team rides in the Courage Classic to drive awareness of the mental health challenges in Colorado, break the stigma of talking about mental health, and to help drive financial support for the care of children and families who require early prevention, ongoing therapy, and access to the medical professionals who can make a difference for kids who need it most…for the kids who have a much larger mountain to climb.
If you can donate any amount, I would deeply appreciate it. For more information on the work Childen's is doing to Break the Stigma, you can go to https://breakthestigmaco.org/
Thanks,
Bill
