Yay! My most favorite biking event is back for real this year! The Courage Classic will be held for two days this year on July 16 and 17. I'll be doing the forty mile route on each of those days. Would you consider donating to my ride to support Children's Hospital Colorado? Now, more than ever it needs your help to supports the fantastic work that is done by the hospital on behalf of kids.
This year will be my lucky thirteenth year riding; the first one was in 1993. My goal is to surpass $45,000 in lifetime fundraising for the Children's Hospital Colorado via the Courage Classic. Would you consider making a generous donation to the Children's Hospital Colorado?
This year I'm directing my fundraising to the Daniel Hyman (a personal hero of mine) Endowed Chair for Quality and Safety Spendable Fund. Its purpose is, “to support the Chief Quality and Safety Officer at Children’s Colorado, as well as encouraging innovative, cutting-edge research and world class clinical care governed thereunder.” I've had the priviledge of working with Dr. Hyman and the Quality and Safety team during my tenure with Children's Hospital. I have been humbled by the work that they tirelessly do to ensure that no child is harmed during any stay or treatment. And they work to make good outcomes possible for all patients.
The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge (and my knee continues to tell me this) but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children. Children's Hospital Colorado will always have a special place in my heartn as well.
Thank you for your support.
