This summer I am preparing to ride my 12h Courage Classic to raise money for Children's Hospital Colorado. The Courage Classic is a bike ride covering 80 miles and gaining more than 5,000 vertical feet! Since being introduced to Children's Hospital Colorado nearly a decade ago I have participated in every Courage Classic since 2008 (The first 6 years of which I didn’t even live in Colorado!).
I have set a goal to raise $1,000 because I passionate about helping Children's Colorado ensure that more children have the opportunity to truly thrive.
This year, I am riding in the Courage Classic for kids like Noah. Noah was born with a congenital heart defect. Within his first few months of life, Noah’s treatment involved a hole being punctured in his heart and eventually open-heart surgery. Noah is now a healthy 13-year-old who rides in the Courage Classic thanks to the care he received at Children’s Colorado.
Noah will not be the last child to face a life-threatening illness, and his family will not be the last to navigate a frightening diagnosis. The Courage Classic is both a personal challenge and an opportunity to support positive outcomes for kids and families who need Children's Colorado.
