Why I ride
I am riding in the Courage Classic for kids.
Jared's Googled Eyed Warrior team is partnered with Wheels of Justice, defeating pediatric cancer is the goal. The Courage Classic of 2007 was the first organized bike ride I ever did and it will always be my favorite ride because supporting Children's Hospital is a great cause, the challenge is amazing, the volunteers make it the best supported ride, and it is fun meeting other riders and their families all supporting Children's Hospital. The Courage the kids and their families at Children's Hospital have is very humbling.
We will defect Pediatric Cancer. I am dedicating my Ride to a very special young warrior, Miss Caroline "Bear-o-line", my cousin who is battling Pulmonary Vein Stenosis. It is an uncommon disease in which abnormal cells build up inside the veins responsible for carrying oxygen-rich blood from the lungs to the heart. It restricts blood flow through these vessels, eventually sealing them off. Current treatment involves Surgery and Chemotherapy.
Bear and her family are amazing! Faith, Love, Family, and Preserverance. Help me cross the finish line every day with encouragement and support Children's by donating to a great cause.
Thank you!
