My 10th Courage Classic!!!
10 years, I cannot believe it, on to my 3rd bike 10,000+++ training miles later, 6 crashes, countless cuts and bruises, more than 2 drop down tantrums, and at least 1 hail storm. Nevertheless, still my favorite weekend of the year, still a cause that moves me to dedicate 100s of volunteer hours a year and still much easier than having cancer.
I have joked for years that I am far better at organizing than I am at riding a bike. This still holds true, but I do love riding my bike and I love the Wheels family that I am a part of. So many wonderful souls have impacted me in ways that I cannot put into words. I am motivated, inspired, courageous and value living in the moment and not taking time and life for granted.
Every year we meet a new "kid" who is wise beyond their years and miraculous in their own right. They've beat it, they kicked cancer's a$$!! Their stories have stayed with me and carried me over each mountain pass. I want this year to be my strongest year yet, I am committed to my training, and dedicated to summitting the entire route.
Thank you for your generosity, we wouldn't be here without your kindness.
