Please join me in supporting the Courage Classic in honor of our son Koby, of blessed memory.
For the 7th year, we are part of the Wheels of Justice Team, raising funds to support the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) at Children's Hospital of Colorado.
Koby was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive brain tumor, in March 2016. Our lives were turned upside down, but filled with meaning and grit over the next 22 months. Koby passed away Jan 19, 2018, just seven weeks after his bar mitzvah.
Our family attended the Courage Classic in 2016, and decided to ride together in 2017. Riding with the Wheels team not only helped us remember Koby, it also connected us to a community of families like ours who have experienced childhood cancer. Today we ride for all the kids, the survivors and those who died. We ride to support kids beeing treated today at Children's Hospital and to support research that could someday cure cancer.
This year, Micah, Melanie and I will be riding a 60-mile route on Sunday, July 16. Please support us and our team by helping me reach my goal of raising $2500 (then, when I reach my goal, donate to Micah so he can reach his goal of raising $25,000!).
With gratitude,
Salomon, Melanie, Hannah, and Micah-- and Koby, in all of the ways he is with us, too.
