WHY I RIDE
2023 will mark my 16th year as a member of the Wheels of Justice bicycling team. This year will be the first full tour for me since 2019. I signed up April 15th as it is a day that marks a touching memory. It was one year ago today this world, this team, a wonderful family lost a beautiful young lady to the horrible disease of pediatric cancer. This incredible young lady was Martha Riedel. Martha rode competitvely through her entire 6+ year battle with cancer. In the summer of 2016, Martha joined Wheels and with her family rode in her first Courage Classic. She had been riding, running, and taking on life's challenges everyday since. While on chemo and very actively in treatment, Martha rode 40 miles for the 2021 Courage Classic. She continued treatment through the fall and well into the Spring of 2022. On Friday April 15th, 2022, Martha passed away at home... surrounded by her family. In the words of our team captain, cancer didn’t have Martha. Martha had cancer. The had the world at her fingertips.
The money we raise directly benefits the pediatric cancer and blood disorders program at Children's Hospital. My ride for 2023 will be special riding the tour along routes with my wife and 16 year old son.
As we climb back out of a few years off I hope you can still support the cause. Your donation will be GREATLY appreciated. Many of you have been so generous in the past. If you can support these kids, doctors, and great care takers in any way this year, we will be truly grateful. Know that every dollar counts. NO AMOUNT is too small. Donate your Starbuck's drink you were going to buy and that $5 will add up to thousands of dollars....just from my contacts alone.
MANY Thanks!Bradley
