Why I ride
The Children's Hospital is one of the best hospitals for kids in the United States. Every year when I do this ride, everyone has a story to tell about how the hospital has helped them. I'm no different. This hospital helped my father when he was burned, myself when I had trouble walking, and most recently my son. The caring staff and physicians have one thing in mind -- what's best for kids and their families. This will be my 28th time riding in the Courage Classic. In my previous rides I have raised over $29,000, and I would like to add to that total with another $1,000.
Riding the Courage Classic is a special treat, where as a Riding Medic, I get the chance to help people while contributing to something I really believe in. Honestly, what could be better than spending 2 days with a group of people who love mountains, bicycling, and have in the past, through their generosity raised over $2,600,000/year ($3,200,000 last year) for a great organization?
