This year and every year, I ride for my father; John A Braddock who left us in February 2022. He was a huge supporter of Children's Hospital, the Inherited Metabolic Disease Clinic and myself. I would not be where I am in life today without his guidance, tough love and mentorship. Please help me in honoring him by contributing to a cause he believed so strongly in!
My Story
I was born with classical PKU, a condition which meant I cannot metabolize an amino acid in protein called phenylalanine. As a child this meant countless hours in Children’s Hospital with a team of doctors and nutritionists counseling my parents and later myself on how to manage my condition.
Anyone with PKU can live a normal life as long as they keep their protein levels low, a difficult task in today’s world. Countless hours of research are put into managing PKU and making those who have this condition able to have a better life.
The reason I ride: I owe so much to the folks at Children’s Hospital in Colorado. My teams of doctors and nutritionists have worked with me most of my life and continue to today. I have seen the results of the money that has been raised, I know how much it helps kids who are going through the same struggles I did.
I understand where this money goes and how much it helps, please contribute. Every little bit helps, amazing things are coming and with your help we can get there!
