Friends. Each year about this time I get the itch to head up to Copper Mountain. Considering this will be my 26th consecutive year riding in the Courage Classic, the ride has not only become a family tradition, but my year would be incomplete if I were anywhere else but on my bike grinding up Vail Pass. It doesn't get any easier, but at least by now I know exactly what to expect.
Expectations are a funny thing....they affect a lot of our lives. Whether we're happy, disappointed, satisfied, sad, fall in love, or deal with a loss. As I grow older I try and handle my expecations with more patience, and in stride with life. I've been lucky that when my expecations are not met the result hasn't been catastrophic, but that's not true for everyone. No one expects to need Children's Hospital, but lots of folks need a facility like Children's to handle those tough times that show up unexpectedly.
If you are able, the Children's Hospital would greatly appreciate any donation you can contribute to their cause. Thank you!
