I am riding in my 9th Courage Classic this year to raise money for the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children's Hospital Colorado. On July 16th I will ride 80 miles, with 7,402 feet of elevation gain--and that's with already starting at almost 10,000ft! I'm hoping to ride another 80 miles on the 17th, up to the top of Ute Pass.
Even though Steve is no longer there, there are still many dedicated physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, therapists, psychologists, researchers, etc who work every day to develop new methods for treating children with cancer and blood disorders.
You all have been so generous in the past, helping me raise over $25,000 which has helped these brilliant people do everything they can to make it so that these diseases no longer claim young lives.
When I train and ride I think about the children I've known and taken care of who are no longer with us: Sunny, Cesar, Joe, Angela, Amanda, Keira Grace, Morgan, Nathan, Jim, and so many more.
The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children. Any amount helps!
