This July, I am honored to be riding in Children's Hospital Colorado's Courage Classic. Alongside many of my Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) colleagues and as a novice cyclist, I will be riding over 100 miles in the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains. This ride supports all of the patients cared for at Children's Hospital Colorado, including my daughter Josie.
Josie was diagnosed with an intracranial cavernous malformation with associated epilepsy just before her 3rd birthday. Today, at age 5, Josie is happy, healthy and thriving. While the unknowns of her condition loom, we know our multidisciplinary team at Children's Hospital Colorado will be with us every step of the way.
Your donation is greatly appreciated, as it will support positive outcomes and healthier futures for kids like Josie and the hundreds of kids who fight for their lives in our PICU every year.
