As a Founder of the Courage Classic, this is my 34th tour! When I started this ride 34 years ago I never dreamed I would still be doing this when I was 65! But here I am, doing it again and I am proud to say that this event has become one of the the largest fund raisers for Childrens Hospital raising close to $100M over the last 34 years!
I am supporting the Courage Classic for patients like my son Jarred, nephew Elija Mancillas and my cousin Noah Martinez
All three were diagnosed with serious medical conditions and their positive attitude combined with the amazing care from the Childrens Hospital doctors and nurses helped them to recover and they are all leading great lives as students and young adults.
Jarred, Elija and Noah will not be the last children to face a life-threatening illness and their families will not be the last to navigate a frightening diagnosis. Wth the help of Children's Hospital Colorado, all three of my family members are thriving and healthy and their families are forever grateful. It is work like this that happens every day at Chldrens Hospital and is why I continue to ride the tour.
The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge, but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes for kids and families like Jarred, Elija and Noah who rely on Children's Colorado for care. While riding for 34 straight years is a challenge, it is not even close to the challenges that the kids, parents and clinicians face every day at Children's Hospital.
Thank you for coming to my page and considering a donation! All of the money earned goes directly to a cause or initiative at Childrens Hospital, which is typically cancer related. Here is a wonderful video about Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders, created by Children's Hospital Colorado:

We are so grateful and blessed to be able to still do this and thank you in advance for considering a donation:
