I ride to give hope to Children's Hospital Colorado patients.
After surviving small bowel cancer, a brain bleed due to the chemo, and then low blood pressure problems in 2016, I'm acutely aware of how important it is to get good medical treatment in a hospital. My brother was in the hospital as a child and they saved his life by removing a tumor from behind his nose. I have friends whose daughter was treated for cancer for over a year and now is fine and living a good life. I have ridden in the Courage Classic 8 times, just missing ones during the pandemic.
The Courage Classic is not only a personal challenge but also an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for children.
