We started riding the Courage Classic in honor of a strong and lovely 9 year patient of Peter's with brain cancer. Since then many of our friend's kids have been given second chances at life by receiving care at Children's Hospital. The medical care is world-class and kids are well mentally and socially supported. For example, another neighborhood boy with brain cancer could concentrate on trying all sorts of practical jokes on the medical staff to elicit laughter (often involving props like whoopie cushions, etc) while they treated his cancer. He is now thriving in college. We are so proud kids have this great resource that we have biked in support of Children's Hospital many times.
The Courage Classic is an opportunity to support positive outcomes and healthier futures for kids.
