Why I ride
Well it’s that time of year again – the 35th Annual Courage Classic Bicycle Tour! This weekend I will be riding around 150 miles through the beautiful Rocky Mountains. This may not sound like your idea of “fun”, but this event is one of my favorite activities I participate in each year.
Founded in 1990, Children’s Hospital Colorado Courage Classic Bicycle Tour is the single largest gathering of people coming together to raise money for Children’s Colorado. This inspiring community is made up of grateful Children’s Colorado patients and families, dedicated caregivers from the hospital and the community, loyal donors who believe in the Children’s mission, and corporate partners investing in kids’ health in the places they do business.
With each pedal of the wheel, 2,000 riders – supported by 300 volunteers - cycle through the beautiful Rocky Mountains and turn resilience and strength into optimism and action. Your support helps provide lifesaving care for children at the region's only nonprofit pediatric hospital. You make a difference for the kids and families who depend on Children's Colorado, one mountain pass at a time.
I am participating in my 10th Courage Classic to raise money for Children's Hospital Colorado. I set a goal to raise $1000 because I want to help Children's Colorado ensure healthier futures for kids. I need your help! This is one of the most positive and inspiring events that I have ever participated in. Each year I meet former patients, parents and family of patients, physicians, and other riders that participate because Children’s Colorado has impacted their lives in one way or another.
Please take a moment to make a donation today. It's easy, fast, and safe. Plus, you'll be making a difference for a great cause I am supporting! Your donation will help Children's Hospital Colorado patients thrive and survive. Thanks in advance for your generous support! I will be thinking of you as I conquer each mountain pass!
