Our son Mason was diagnosed in January 2017 with stage 4 kidney cancer and underwent a radical nephrectomy. Our family spent the following year in the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) where Mason received his weekly chemotherapy treatments and follow up appointments with his oncologist. Today we celebrate his official status in remission but the battle still continues and we need your support.
The CCBD is one of the best pediatric oncology programs in the country with an 85% cure rate for all kids cancers and blood disorders. The renowned team of multidisciplinary experts provides thousands of children who are fighting cancer and blood disorders with world-class care and cutting-edge treatments – all while pioneering new therapies and cures through groundbreaking research.
Due to its size and fundraising successes, Wheels of Justice (WOJ) directs that every penny raised is to support the patients, families, and amazing health care providers that walk the halls of the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. From grants for directed research that have improved the standard of care for pediatric oncologic care to a best in nation wellness program, WOJ is directly responsible for funding many vital functions at CCBD. I am honored to ride with Wheels and proud of the more than $5 million raised to date.
Thank you for support,
Michael, Julie, Abigail, Isabelle, & Mason
