I am supporting the Courage Classic for kids like Amalia,
Amalia was born 3-months prematurely and came to Children's Colorado for our SPROUTS (Supporting Preemie Respiratory Outcomes) program when she couldn't get off a ventilator because her lungs were so sick. This program includes nurses, respiratory therapists, nurse practitioners, neonatal doctors, pulmonary doctors, heart doctors and therapies who specialize in this population to support the outcomes and development of infants with chronic lung disease.
Through our SPROUTS program, we were able to get Amalia home with her parents where she is now a thriving 18-month old full of giggles, smiles and chubby little cheeks.
We participate for kids like Amalia: kids who show courage every single day. And we participate to support the caregivers who make stories like his possible.
