This year, I’m riding in the Courage Classic in honor of Jorge Tomas Villa — an incredible seven-year-old from Westminster whose strength and resilience continue to inspire me every day.
Here is a message from him,
"My name is Jorge Tomas Villa. I am seven years old and I live in Westminster. I love to play video games and play with my toys. I was admitted to Children’s Hospital because my heart had an infection. I spent seven weeks in the CICU and had a total of five surgeries. I only got better when I received my heart transplant on my dad’s birthday. When I grow up, I wanna be a doctor because I want to know what it feels like to be on the other side of the heart surgery.
Despite everything he has endured, Jorge continues to shine with joy! I’m riding to support kids like Jorge and the families who face unimaginable challenges with courage every single day. Every donation helps provide lifesaving care, research, and hope for children with heart disease. Thank you for supporting this ride and for cheering on patients like Jorge.
