At our 20-week ultrasound, we learned that Grace had a serious congenital heart defect, pulmonary atresia with VSD. She underwent her first open-heart surgery at just 3 days old and has been closely followed by her cardiology team ever since.
In 2018, Grace underwent a conduit replacement surgery, followed by a month-long hospital stay after a post-surgical infection. Through every challange, she has shown incredible strength, resilience, and determination.
Since then, Grace has thrived, enjoying activities like gymnastics, softball, volleyball, biking, arts and crafts, and keeping up with her friends. This summer, she will face another heart surgery after recent testing showed it was needed. We are so proud of our brave heart warrior and the joy, courage, and determination she beings to everyday.
