I am supporting the Courage Classic for the children we serve at Children's Hospital Colorado.
Every day in the emergency department, we see people on potentially the scariest days of their lives. Sometimes that means their child injured themselves badly at camp, other times it means they are so sick they're not able to eat or drink enough.
In these moments, our dedicated team of doctors, nurses, medical technicians, respiratory therapists, and everyone else steps up to provide compassionate and, sometimes, life-saving care.
The thing that keeps us continuing forward is seeing how strong our patients are. The courage our patients show every day in new, scary settings in so admirable, and they / their families deserve the best.
