Ollie is 5 years old and was born with HLHS. He had his Norwood at 11 days old, his Glenn at 4 months and his Fontan at 2 years old. He had complications during his recovery after every surgery ranging from life threatening to annoying and frustrating. Unfortunately 6 months post Fontan he went into heart failure. He was inpatient 475 days and waited 419 days for his hero heart. While waiting he also required a VAD to bridge him to transplant because heart failure meds weren't enough . He had a VAD for 412 days. Ollie is now a little over a year post transplant and doing absolutely amazing!
